Colortrac, the world's leading supplier of CIS large format scanners, has announced a new addition to its extensive range - the SmartLF Gx 42 scanners. The new range features the latest in 1200dpi optical resolution CCD technology and is designed to provide fast, high quality scans, copies or file distribution of large format photographs, satellite images, artwork, graphic designs, posters and any other documents that contain fine image detail and require a wide color gamut with high dynamic range.
These 42” scanners will also capture accurately the finest details of maps, engineering drawings, blueprints, site plans, architectural renderings and many other technical documents in monochrome or color at resolutions from 100 up to 9600dpi. Original images can be captured off media from 6”, up to 48”, wide by any length. The GxT versions provide motorised thick media scanning of mounted originals up to 0.8” (20 mm) thickness.
Managing Director Graham Tinn said, "The SmartLF Gx 42 is the first Colortrac product to feature our innovative, minaturised digital camera unit (DCU) 1200dpi CCD imaging technology. It will be followed by 25" and 54" model ranges within the next 6 months to completely renew our CCD scanner line-up. The introduction of the SmartLF Gx scanners positions Colortrac as the only large format scanner manufacturer to offer both CIS and CCD based scanners. Access to both of these imaging technologies allows our customers to choose the best scanners for their application while benefiting from the SmartLF philosophy ~ high quality, performance and excellent value for money."
There are three versions of the SmartLF Gx 42 scanner; monochrome, color and express color and any model can be upgraded on-site quickly and easily by return email. This allows customers to buy the right scanner for their current project with the peace of mind that they can enhance their system should they need to.
The SmartLF Gx 42 scanners are ideal for professional service providers and reprographics bureau, copy-shops, graphic arts, design, mapping, survey and GIS professionals in any size of enterprise.
